Richard B. Cheney, prominent public servant and businessman, is vice president. Cheney is well-known in Washington's political landscape. George W. Bush, the future President of the U.S. will be Cheney's fourth. Bush chose Cheney as his vice president running mate in July 2000, citing Cheney's expertise and wisdom. Dick Cheney, who served in the United States as secretary and chief of staff under a president as well as within Congress has been a great serving our country. He is a true gentleman He is respected by of both Republicans and Democrats. Cheney claims he's an honest and discreet advisor for Bush in his administration. In accepting the Republican vice-presidential nomination Cheney stated that he looks at serving alongside one who can work to achieve his goals by reaching across the partisan aisle and working with political opponents with good will and a common goals. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30th, 1941) was the son Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been married to Richard Herbert Cheney for over thirty years. At the age of 13 Richard and his family moved out of Nebraska and moved to Casper which was where his dad worked as director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservation district.
